Meiners Named All-NCAC In Debut Year

First-year earns second team recognition

First-year Elizabeth Meiners was named All-North Coast Athletic Conference Second Team as announced by the conference office on Thursday.
 
Meiners, the lone representative for The College of Wooster women's tennis team, compiled a 12-11 record in singles competition with a 3-4 record in NCAC play.
 
Meiners played at the No. 1 flight throughout the year, piling together a 9-9 record. Notable wins included a three-set win versus John Carroll University's Maddie Kavenagh, 3-6, 6-4 1-0 (2) and a win over DePauw University's Katie King in the team's season finale, 6-1, 7-5.
 
Meiners also had seven doubles wins this season.
 
The Scots finished the year at 6-12 and seventh in the NCAC.
