The College of Wooster's
Domenic Cuda and
Lane Kellogg are part of this week's United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Team of the Week following record performances.
Cuda averaged 11.5 groundballs, 8.0 caused turnovers, and scored two goals as a longpole during a 2-0 week for the Fighting Scots. His 12 caused turnovers in Wooster's 23-8 win over Adrian College on Saturday tied the program's single-game program record and are tied for the third-most in NCAA Div. III single-game history. His 12 caused turnovers were the most in a NCAA Div. III game since alumnus
Casey Steffen logged a dozen in a 2023 contest against Wittenberg University. Cuda added 15 groundballs to his Saturday stat line. In the season-opening 25-3 win over Hiram College, Cuda caused four turnovers and had eight groundballs.
Kellogg broke Wooster's single-game assists and points records in the Hiram win. He is the first player in program history to pass out 10 assists. Kellogg's 10 assists marked the third double-digit assist game in Div. III this spring, while his 13 points are tied for the sixth-most. Kellogg took down a 41-year-old single-game program record with the 10 helpers. He was equally as effective in Saturday's win with six more assists to give him 16 through two games.
Wooster, currently 2-0 on the season and featuring Div. III's highest-scoring offense, returns to action on Wednesday, Feb. 25 for a 6 p.m. home contest against Otterbein University (1-1).
