Junior Paige Nicely led The College of Wooster women's golf team in her season debut, which took place at the Muskingum University Invitational on Sunday and Monday. The Fighting Scots tied for third-place with a two-day 734 at the par-72, 5,611-yard Cambridge Country Club.

Nicely, who studied abroad in New Zealand during the fall semester, tied for eighth-place at 178, marking her second collegiate top-10 finish at a traditional tournament. She hit her stride come No. 12 on the back-nine started Monday round. There, Nicely scored a par on the par-4, 320-yard hole, and three more pars followed. Nicely had seven pars in round two en route to an 86. She shot a 92 on Sunday.

Junior Abby Haywood was next, placing 14th with a 181. Haywood played Cambridge's Nos. 14-17 at 1-over-par in Sunday's round and carded a team-best 44 on the course's front nine on Monday.

Junior Morgan Erdmann shot a 185 to tie for 15th-place. Erdmann's strong second-round stretch started with a birdie on the par-4, 325-yard 13th hole, and she played holes 13-18 of the back-nine-started round at 2-over-par. Erdmann heated up again at the end of the round, finishing with three straight pars.

Junior Lizzy Hohman placed 18th with a 190. She had a five-hole stretch at 2-over-par that started on the par-4, 280-yard 17th hole on Sunday. She carded three pars on Cambridge's back nine on Monday, including two in a three-hole stretch.

Sophomore Sarah Buchholtz rounded out the lineup with a 211, which was 26th. She played 14 holes at bogey or better for the tournament.

Otterbein University led the five-team field with a 680 to finish 13 strokes clear of Baldwin Wallace University. The Cardinals' Alexa Luebbe was medalist with a 15-over-par 159.
