Looking Back at the 2025 NCAC Championship: Wooster fired a 295 in the final round to overtake Ohio Wesleyan University and finish 17 strokes ahead of the Battling Bishops in the battle for sixth place. Then-sophomore
Andrew Carey's (Rockford, Ill./Guilford) career-best 3-under-par 69 was at the forefront of Wooster's Sunday surge. Carey dropped back to even par with a birdie on the par-4, 405-yard fourth hole and was at 1-under-par after a three on the par-4, 370-yard sixth hole. He played the final 16 holes at par or better, with birdie four going down on the par-5, 549-yard 18th hole. Carey's 69 tied for the 10th-lowest round in program history where recorded scores are known and it dropped his season average to 75.2, ranking second in program history for the tournament era, which includes seasons since 1972.

Scots Know How to Turn It On at Conference: Two years ago, Wooster fired a 286 on the second day of the NCAC Championships, which was determined to be the program's lowest round since at least 1985. Wooster's most recent lower team round prior to that 286 found in College archives took place during the program's 1975 NCAA Div. III national championship season (note, program records are incomplete for parts of the late 1970s and early 1980s). The 1975 national championship team shot at worst a 281 at Kent State University's Tournament, or the score could have been a 279 as players who played in events that season gave the appearance of a six-count-four format potentially being used in the regular season. Carey was in Wooster's lineup for that, and he shot a 73 for the 286 round. Alumnus
Tyler Hilbert led Wooster that day with a 1-under-par 69, his career-best by three strokes.
Â
Running Away With It: Wooster caught up to front-running Adrian College early, then ran away from the field with a convincing 10-stroke victory at the Irish Hills Invitational in mid-September. Wooster posted a two-day 616 to extend its record run of winning at least one traditional tournament to five straight seasons. Senior
Parth Kirloskar (Pune, India/Vidya Valley School) logged a collegiate-best third-place finish. Kirloskar shot an 8-over-par 152 for the tournament, which was headlined by an even-par back-nine in the final round.
Â
Winners Again: Wooster ran its run of seasons with multiple tournament wins to four, taking the 2025 Cleveland Cup in dominant fashion at Pine Hills Golf Club. Wooster won the event by 12 strokes. First-year
Jack Kinder (Akron, Ohio/Revere) was the runner-up with a 3-over-par 75. Kinder dropped to 1-under-par quickly, scoring a birdie on his second hole of the round and dropped back to even-par through 13 holes when a birdie dropped on the par-5, 511-yard seventh hole. He played 14 holes at par or better.
Â
Dormie Them Early: Junior
Jake Cammarata (Long Beach, Calif./Millikan) was in peak form on Wooster's spring break trip as he downed Williams College's No. 1
Jack Estrella 6-and-5 in a match play event. That meant the Scots' junior secured the win after just 13 holes of play. Cammarata earned NCAC Athlete of the Week honors for his performance. Cammarata leads Wooster with a 76.5 average and has five rounds of 75 or better this year. Cammarata placed fifth at The Cleveland Cup with a 76 and has five top-10 showings as a junior.
Â
Memorable Home Finale: Senior
Mark Towns (Columbus, Ohio/Worthington Kilbourne) posted a runner-up finish at the program's annual Nye Intercollegiate in mid-April. Towns was in position for a strong finish with a round-one 76, which led Wooster's lineup. In round two, Towns birdied the par-4, 400-yard fourth hole, which was his second-to-last of the day, to give himself a chance for medalist honors. Towns went on to finish with a 75 for a 151. Towns' 76.7 average this spring is on par with the 76.9 yearlong average, which ranks second on the team. Towns has four top-10 showings as a senior, including three of Wooster's last five tournaments.
Â
Break Out That Red Marker: Four Scots have shot a 71 or better during the 2025-26 season. First-year
Musa Shariff (Dubai, UAE/Wolsey Hall Oxford) was the most recent Scot to do it, with a 2-under-par 70 in Monday's round of John Carroll's Dan Caschera and John DiCillo Invite. Shariff's 70 marked a collegiate-best by six strokes. Sophomore
Max Shulman (Superior Twp., Mich./Greenhills School) was the first to do it with a 3-under-par 69 at Zoar Village Golf Course in the opening round of the program's annual Gatorade Collegiate. Shulman's 69 is tied for the 10th-best round in program history for tournaments scores are available for. Cammarata shot a 70 at Allegheny College's Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Invitational in September and Carey capped Wabash College's Invitational with a 71 in early October.

The International Scots: Six of Wooster's 13 team members this year are international Fighting Scots. India (2), Indonesia, Switzerland, Thailand, and United Arab Emirates are the countries represented within the Scots' roster.
