A third different Fighting Scot led The College of Wooster women's golf team at Allegheny College's Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Memorial Invitational, which took place on Sunday and Monday at the par-72, 5,604-yard Country Club of Meadville. Senior Morgan Erdmann's steady 166 led Wooster to a ninth-place finish at 703.

Erdmann closed strong both days, playing the back nine at Meadville at 5-over-par for the two-day tournament. She sank consecutive birdies on the par-4, 317-yard 10th hole and the par-4, 272-yard 11th hole on Sunday and closed with her fourth back-nine birdie on the par-5, 513-yard No. 12 on Monday. Erdmann played the final 10 holes of the tournament at 2-over-par to sign for an 82 on Monday. She tied for 21st in the field.

Senior Abby Haywood was next, tying for 26th at 169. Haywood opened with an 85 and closed with an 84. The senior's second round got off to a strong straight with the first of four straight pars dropping on the par-5, 444-yard third hole. She had nine pars in Monday's round.

Senior Paige Nicely was Wooster's No. 3 scorer, placing 40th at 179. Another strong finish was Nicely's calling, as she went 1-under-par over the final six holes of Sunday's round. A par on the par-3, 136-yard 13th hole was followed with a birdie on the 342-yard, par-4, No. 14.

First-year Emme Braunsdorf made her lineup debut for the Scots and contributed to the team score both days. Braunsdorf tied for 47th at 189. Highlights of the rounds included paring two of the final four holes of the tournament. Braunsdorf opened with a 95 and finished with a 94.

Senior Liz Hohman rounded out the lineup with the 63rd-place score of 209.

National power Carnegie Mellon University's b team posted a 597. Kenyon College was the top finishing team within the 12 lineups in the field at 624. Medalist honors went to Carnegie Mellon's Angela Wang. The Tartans' first-year shot a 1-over-par 155.

Next, Wooster competes at John Carroll University's Fall Invitational, which takes place October 3-4 at Manakiki Golf Course.
