Braydon Hudson led the Fighting Scots defense in holding Wittenberg University to under 200 yards of offense in Saturday's 14-12 win and subsequently was tabbed as the North Coast Athletic Conference Defensive Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.
Hudson led Wooster with nine tackles on the day, which included 1.5 for loss, and a solo sack. With Hudson leading the way, Wittenberg had just 194 yards of offense over 43 plays. Wooster's defense held Wittenberg to nine first downs in the game, and a woeful 5-of-17 mark passing.
Hudson is Wooster's leader at the midpoint of the season with 42 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, and three sacks.
Wooster (3-2, 2-1 NCAC) hosts Denison University (2-2, 1-1 NCAC) at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5.
