All-Time Series: Wittenberg leads the all-time series 44-13-1. The teams first met in 1912, a game won by Wooster 12-0. Wooster won the first two meetings in the series by identical 12-0 scores. Wooster's last win in the series came in 2022, when the Scots authored one of the biggest comebacks in college football, charging back from a 33-7 deficit over the final 26:45 to win 44-43. Alumnus quarterback Mateo Renteria escaped pressure twice, enabling alumnus All-American tight end Cole Hissong to find an opening in front of three defenders in the end zone prior to catching a game-winning 7-yard touchdown pass with 11 seconds remaining. Alumnus Chris Savaglio had the game-sealing interception at Wittenberg's 42-yard line with three seconds remaining to secure the program's first win over its archrival since the 2008 season finale.

Last Meeting: Alumnus Brazos Gadler tied a College of Wooster football record in his career finale, but Wittenberg's surge at the game's midpoint enabled the Tigers to coast to a 48-27 win in the 2024 season finale. Gadler's four receiving touchdowns tied Wooster's single-game record, and it marked the fifth four-receiving touchdown game in program history. The senior had touchdown receptions of 65, three, 18, and 35 yards in the game. His 24 career receiving touchdowns are tied for the third-most in program history. Gadler capped his career with 2,456 receiving yards, the third-best mark in program history, while his 926 yards in 2024 are fourth in the record book.

Offense Notes: Wooster had a season-high two rushing touchdowns in last Saturday's win. Both came from first-year Ryker Green (Marysville, Ohio/Fairbanks). Junior quarterback Michael Boyle (Pennsburg, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) had his third three passing touchdown game on the year. Wooster now has three receivers over 250 yards on the year in senior Tate Journell (Northfield, Minn./Northfield) (24 receptions, 394 yards, 5 touchdowns), senior Jordan Lewis (Akron, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy) (17 receptions, 305 yards, 2 touchdowns), and sophomore Cam Crago (Mansfield, Ohio/Lexington) (12 receptions, 251 yards, 2 touchdowns).

Defense Notes: Wooster has got it going of late in the pass rush department, as the Scots are up to 12 sacks on the year. Senior defensive lineman Paul Ehenger (Salem, Ore./South Salem) and senior linebacker Braydon Hudson (North Liberty, Ind./Washington) lead the team with three sacks each. Senior Louie Lindsay (Waynesboro, Pa./Waynesboro Area Senior) is ninth nationally in passes defender with two breakups per game.

Special Teams Notes: Wooster had its first field goal of the year last Saturday when first-year Nolan Hendricks (Massillon, Ohio/Massillon Washington) booted a 25-yard kick through the uprights.
