Q: Why did you choose to attend The College of Wooster?
A: I chose Wooster because of its strong commitment to both academics and athletics. I wanted a place where I could challenge myself in the classroom while still competing at a high level. Wooster offered the perfect balance. From my first visit, it felt like a community where I could grow, be supported, and push myself in all areas.
Â
Q: What does being a Fighting Scot student-athlete mean to you?
A: To me, being a Fighting Scot student-athlete means being part of a community built on tradition and shared purpose. It means representing something larger than myself and contributing to a culture that values hard work, resilience, and connection. It is an honor to be part of a program where teammates, coaches, and staff truly support one another.
Â
Q: What are some of your favorite memories as a student at The College of Wooster?
A: One of my favorite memories was our lacrosse spring break trip during my sophomore year. It was such a unique and memorable experience spending time with my team, watching other games, relaxing at the beach, and hanging out together at the houses we rented. Another highlight was making it to the NCAA Div. III Championship in lacrosse as a junior. The energy around the selection show, the excitement of seeing our name announced, and winning the first round game are moments I will never forget.
Â
Q: What is the best part about being a student-athlete at The College of Wooster?
A: The best part is the friendships I have built with my teammates and other athletes on campus. I have loved creating meaningful connections as part of my college experience.
Â
Q: What else were you involved with on campus besides your sport?
A: Outside of lacrosse and field hockey, I am involved in a service program house partnered with People to People Ministries. I serve as the vice president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and I am in the entrepreneurship pathway program.
Â
Q: Which College of Wooster faculty or staff member has made the greatest impact on you and why?
A: Coach
Elizabeth Ford has had the greatest impact on me during my time at Wooster. She has supported me not only as an athlete, but as a person. She consistently challenges me and believes in me. Her mentorship has shaped my confidence, leadership, and overall experience here.
Â
Q: What other people or resources impacted your Wooster experience in a positive way and how did these people and resources set you up to be successful at Wooster?
A: Tessa Hall from the writing center has been one of the biggest influences on my Wooster experience. She has helped me strengthen my writing and confidence across countless assignments. Dr. Amyaz Moledina played an important role in my academic journey. He pushed me to think critically and helped me develop stronger learning habits as my macro professor and junior Independent Study advisor. His guidance challenged me in the best way and made me a more confident and capable student.
Â
Q: Tell us a bit about your Independent Study project?
A: I am looking at the financial sustainability of adding or subtracting a college sports team.
Â
Q: Tell us a bit about something cool you did as a student at The College of Wooster?
A: Making it to the NCAA Div. III Championship in lacrosse was one of the coolest and most memorable experiences I had at Wooster. The excitement around the selection show, seeing our team's name announced, and getting to compete in two tournament games made it truly unforgettable. It was a moment that captured all the hard work and pride we put into our season.
Â
Q: Reflecting back on your time at Wooster, what advice would you give your first-year self?
A: I would tell my first-year self to enjoy the experience and not be so hard on myself. You do not have to have everything figured out right away. Be open to learning, growing, and having fun along the way.
