College of Wooster senior attacker
Lane Kellogg's massive start to 2026 landed him as the North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.
Kellogg broke Wooster's 41-year-old single-game program record with 10 assists in Wednesday's 25-3 season-opening win at Hiram College and added a second single-game record with 13 points. His 10 assists were one better than
Jim Applegate's nine against Ashland University in 1985 and the 13 points were one better than the 12
Josh Herold had against Wabash College in 2016,
Steve Williams had against the University of Mount Union in 1983,
Bill Seegar had against Ashland in 1971.
Kellogg followed the record night with six assists and three goals in Saturday's 23-8 win over Adrian College.
Kellogg became the fourth player in program history to reach 125 career goals last week, and the first to do so since
Tom Bennett graduated with a school-record 162 goals in 1993.
This is Kellogg's second NCAC Athlete of the Week honor. He was previously a winner during the 2024 season.
Wooster (2-0) hosts Otterbein University (1-1) at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25.
