2026 All-NCAC Teams Announced
Four members from The College of Wooster softball team earned All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors as announced by the conference office on Wednesday.
Â
SeniorÂ
Julia Jennings earned a second team nod, while classmateÂ
Emma Hetkey, sophomoreÂ
Jillian Meszaros and first-yearÂ
Larken Koran were selected to the third team.
Â
Jennings and Hetkey are now four-time All-NCAC honorees becoming just the third and fourth Scots to accomplish the feat (Kate Henley, 2002-05, and Kim Skully, 2006-2009).
Â
Jennings had been a first-team selection the past three years, while Hetkey earns her second third team selection to go along with her two second team mentions.
Â
Jennings, Wooster's all-time hits leader, batted .347 on the year and .340 in NCAC games. She tallied 23 RBI and six doubles and stayed consistent in the field bouncing between third base and shortstop, compiling a .957 fielding percentage.
Â
The senior ends her Wooster career as the all-time assists leader (391) and second in batting average (.389).
Â
Hetkey was another of Wooster's top hitters, ending her career third in batting average (.387), second in hits (172) and has the top spot locked in for stolen bases (71).
Â
On the year, Hetkey's .383 batting average was second on the team. She batted .314 in conference play and finished with five doubles and a team-high 17 stolen bases across 35 games.
Â
Meszaros was selected as a pitcher, going 6-4 with a 3.62 ERA and 24 strikeouts in conference play. A second team honoree last year, Meszaros threw the program's 10th no-hitter in an 8-0 five-inning win over Oberlin College.
Â
Overall, Meszaros compiled a 15-7 record with a 3.32 ERA. Her 15 wins was third most for a season in program history.
Â
Finally, Koran excelled in conference play, batting .333 with one home run and three RBI. She played a huge role sweeping John Carroll University this season, going 3-for-6 in the series with her first home run and a walk-off single.
Â
Wooster finished 19-17 on the season, finishing above .500 for the first time since the 2021 season.
