Lizzie Hardy, the North Coast Athletic Conference Midfielder of the Year, now adds All-America laurels to her senior season, as The College of Wooster women's lacrosse standout was named to USA Lacrosse Magazine's honorable mention team.
Hardy became Wooster's all-time leader in draw controls as a senior, finishing her career with 411, a record 132 of which came this spring. Hardy was instrumental in helping the program to its current No. 3 national ranking in draw controls per game and 16th in draw control percentage. Individually, Hardy's 6.6 draw controls per game are the 19th-most in Div. III through the second round of the NCAA Div. III Championship.
Through games played May 13, Wooster boasts the third-highest scoring offense in Div. III and Hardy is a big reason why. She was one of three players with at least 55 goals this spring and one of four to tally up 70 points. Her 58 goals are tied for the fifth-most in single-season program history, while the 74 points are 10th on the program's single-season chart. As a team, Wooster scored a record 346 goals.
Wooster qualified for the NCAA Div. III Championship for the second straight year and matched its best national finish by winning its first-round game. Wooster's 17 wins (17-3) are tied for the most in program history.
