College of Wooster senior Abby Haywood earned North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week honors on Tuesday for a fifth-place individual finish at the Heidelberg University Fall Invitational.

Haywood opened the event with a co-collegiate-best 76 and followed that with a 78 for a two-day 154. Haywood secured the co-collegiate-best with five straight pars at the end of the round. Haywood was 1-over-par through 10 holes in round two following a birdie on the par-4, 291-yard 17th hole. The senior had three runs of at least five straight pars over the 36-hole tournament.

Haywood's 76 was part of Wooster's 326, the team's lowest round since the fall 2024 season. The senior is now a two-time NCAC Athlete of the Week.

Wooster returns to action at Allegheny College's Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Invitational, which takes place September 20-21.
