Box Score 2 The College of Wooster men's tennis team took part in the Ashland Invitational this weekend.

What was supposed to be two days in Ashland turned into Saturday in Ashland and Sunday in Oberlin. The men exclusively played singles matches on Saturday before the rain pushed Sunday's doubles matches indoors to Oberlin College.

The invite featured teams from Wooster, Ashland, Oberlin, Ohio Northern and Baldwin Wallace.

On Saturday, Wooster won five matches across its 16 matches, headlined by two wins fromÂ
Anthony VanOyen. VanOyen defeated a pair of Ashland opponents - 6-3, 6-3 versusÂ
Kaj Salzano and 7-6, 7-5 versusÂ
Eduardo Lima.
Teddy Powers andÂ
Ian Royse each collected a win over Oberlin. Powers handily defeatedÂ
Oliver Faranda, 6-0, 6-0, while Royse won 6-2, 7-5 againstÂ
Christian Pak.

Bennett Dickerson who defeated Baldwin Wallace's Matt Swank, 6-3, 6-3.

On Sunday, Wooster's doubles teams went .500 at 6-6. They were led by the doubles team of VanOyen andÂ
Enzo Lopes and the team of Dickerson andÂ
Walker Wood as both teams collected two wins.

Wood and Dickerson won both their matchups against Oberlin and Baldwin Wallace, 6-4. VanOyen and Lopes also took an 6-4 win over Oberlin, while sweating a 7-6 victory over Ashland.

Max Stratford captured a 6-2 win over Baldwin Wallace.Â

This wraps up the fall season for the men. They won't be in action again until Jan. 31, 2026 with a trip to Denison University.
