Sophomore Josie Bencic made quite the debut for The College of Wooster women's soccer team and earned her first North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week honors.

In the team's season opening 3-0 win against Alma College, Bencic was involved in each score, including the game winner in the fourth minute.

To make it a 1-0 game, Bencic broke free from the pack and scored thanks to an assist from Annie Henegar. Bencic later assisted on the goal in the 19th minute before putting the game away with goal number two in the 77th minute after intercepting the ball and getting a clear look.

Wooster is 2-0 in the early goings of the season and will host Bluffton University at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
