Sophomore
Jillian Meszaros went 5-0 with a 2.30 ERA last week to earn North Coast Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week honors.
The College of Wooster softball team won all five games Meszaros appeared in as the team went 7-1 on its spring break trip.
She pitched three complete games in wins over Salem State, Chicago and Lawrence. She gave up one earned run in each game against Chicago and Lawrence and capped the week by pitching a clean eighth inning in the team's 10-9 win over Saint Lawrence.
Meszaros was also on the mound when the Scots gave Massachusetts Insistute of Technology its first loss of the season, pitching 5 1/3 innings and striking out two.
On the year, Meszaros lowered her ERA to a team-best 3.07 while improving her record to 6-1.
Wooster (8-6) will open up conference play on Saturday when they travel to Oberlin College for a doubleheader.
