Sophomore
Jillian Meszaros kept her North Coast Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week crown for the second consecutive week after a dominating performance against Oberlin College this past weekend in the team's NCAC opener.
Meszaros claimed two wins against the Yeowomen, which included the program's 10th no-hitter and its first since the 2023 season. She also pitched 2.2 innings of scoreless relief in game two, improving to 8-1 on the season.
In her game one start, Meszaros was just shy of perfection after issuing a walk in the bottom of the fourth. The sophomore did not allow a ball hit into the outfield and tied a career-high with seven strikeouts.
In game two, Meszaros entered a 1-1 game in the fifth and pitched another 1.2 innings before Oberlin finally connected on its first hit. Meszaros left runners stranded on first and second to end the game.
Wooster won its seventh straight and improved to 10-6 on the year. The Scots have a non-conference doubleheader versus Otterbein College on Thursday.
