College of Wooster men's lacrosse team members
Domenic Cuda,
Jack Holub, and
Lane Kellogg were among the honorable mention United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-Americans, announced by the organization on Wednesday.
Cuda adds the USILA All-America honor to the previously awarded one from USA Lacrosse Magazine. The two-time All-North Coast Athletic Conference selection tops Div. III with 5.17 caused turnovers per game, a per-game total in line to become the new NCAA all-divisions statistical record once the NCAA Div. I men's lacrosse national championship game goes final on Monday. Cuda broke NCAC and Wooster single-season records with 93 caused turnovers this spring, a total tied for the second-most in Div. III history. He caused 12 turnovers early in the year against Adrian College and had four games with at least seven. Cuda was just as impactful at scooping groundballs, with his 137 ranking second in program history. He earned Team of the Week honors from the USILA four times this spring.
Holub makes his All-America debut after breaking the program's single-season record with 67 goals. The first-time all-conference performer finished with 16 more goals than
Steve Davidow in 1990 and
Shaun Peirce in 2019. Holub pumped in eight goals against Adrian in February and matched the program's single-game benchmark with nine against the University of Massachusetts Boston over spring break. Holub's efforts in the scoring column helped keep the program in position to have a shot for its first NCAC title since 2004, as he scored five times in an 11-10 win over John Carroll University in the second-to-last game of the regular season, setting up a showdown with Kenyon College with conference title implications on the last day of the regular season. Wooster went on to win that game 13-6.
Kellogg, the program's third two-time All-American, took down numerous program records this spring, finishing his four-year career as the program's all-time leader in points (301) and assists (140). Kellogg came a goal shy of tying the program's career record, but he did handily break the single-season program records for points (98) and assists (59) as a senior. He opened a successful senior season with 10 assists and 13 points at Hiram College, both breaking decades-old school records. Kellogg collected a third all-conference honor this spring. He joins
Steve Davidow (1990-91) and
Casey Steffen (2003-24) as two-time All-Americans for Wooster lacrosse.
Wooster went 12-6 this spring, earning a share of the NCAC title. The three All-Americans are tied for the most in a year in program history. In all, Wooster players have earned eight All-America honors from the USILA in the last three seasons.
