Lane Kellogg earned College Sports Communicators' Academic All-District® honors for the men's at-large sports contest, as announced by the organization on Tuesday.
Cammarata ranked second on Wooster's team this spring with a 77.5 average. He logged a top-five finish at the single-round Cleveland Cup, firing a 76, leading the team to the tournament crown. With the first-place team finish, Wooster ran its run of seasons with multiple tournament wins to four. The senior-to-be logged five top-10 finishes on the year, starting with the Irish Hills Intercollegiate, which Wooster won to extend its record streak of winning at least one traditional tournament to five. He captured North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week honors after winning 6-and-5 at No. 1 in a match-play event against Williams College on spring break.
Cammarata is participating in the United States Golf Association's pathways launch this summer in New Jersey. He is working with the golf handicap information network to develop and improve current app features. He will be working with the team to understand competitors' golf apps, gain further understanding to the golf app market, and apply successful features to improve the user experience. Cammarata spent last summer as an engineering intern with PERC Water, compiling detailed technical reports and standard operating procedures for chief operators and engineers, streamlining project tasks and training in the process. He was also a stile products intern with Tern Bicycles, managing inventory and using NetSuite to digitize purchase orders, invoices, and bills. On campus, Cammarata is a video intern for athletic communication, producing a wide range of video content for the athletics department's social media accounts. The physics major is also enrolled in the pre-engineering program. The two-time CSC Academic All-District® qualifier is involved with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and was one of 250 selected from over 10,000 applicants for the Taco Bell Scholar Hype Squad leading into his sophomore year.
Carey averaged 78.1 strokes as a junior, which ranked third on the team. He shot an even-par 72 at the Wooster Spring Invitational to rank second in the field of 36. Carey tied for fifth at the Cleveland Cup with a 76 and was in the top-10 at the Irish Hills Intercollegiate with a two-round 156 to help the Scots win both tournaments. He also placed sixth in the field at the York College Spartan Spring Invitational, opening with a 76 and closing with a 77.
The biology major is a medical history technician at University of Wisconsin SwedishAmerican Hospital. He works in the pharmacy department as a technician to document patient medication history, analyze discrepancies, communicate with patients, and enter accurate information to be used by pharmacists. He also completes medical histories within the emergency department of the hospital and learned how to update and utilize medical charts. Carey is a two-time Academic All-District® qualifier and is a health coach through the College's partnership with Wooster Community Hospital. He is actively involved with the College's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Cuda earned honorable mention All-America honors from the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association and USA Lacrosse Magazine as a sophomore. This spring, Cuda caused 5.17 turnovers per game, becoming the NCAA all-divisions record-holder in that stat. His 93 caused turnovers tied for the second-most in NCAA Div. III history and broke NCAC and Wooster single-season program records. Cuda earned all-conference laurels for the second time and matched the program's single-game record with 12 caused turnovers against Adrian College. Cuda scooped 137 groundballs this spring, ranking second in program history. He was a four-time USILA Team of the Week choice this spring. Cuda and his Wooster lacrosse teammates went 6-2 in league play as part of a 12-6 overall record. They won a share of the NCAC title, for the program's first conference championship since 2004.
Cuda is spending this summer interning at Quattro Advisors, a boutique wealth management firm. There, Cuda is involved with investment research and learning more about client-facing work. He is a seasonal associate at First National Bank, gaining experience in banking operations and customer service. The business economics major is part of the College's Jenny Investment Club, which professionally manages a portion of the College's endowment, valued at approximately $14 million. Cuda coaches youth lacrosse back home in Pittsburgh. This is Cuda's first CSC Academic All-District® honor.
Ginder ranked fourth on Wooster's team with 17 goals, sixth with 25 points, and he was one of six players to pass out at least eight assists. Elsewhere, Ginder scooped 25 groundballs and caused 10 turnovers. The senior-to-be scored four times against Hiram College and Capital University and scooped four groundballs to go with two caused turnovers against Adrian.
Ginder is working as a real estate development intern for Regency Centers in Maryland this summer. The business economics major completed courses in real estate economics and finance at London School of Economics last summer. Prior to his sophomore year, Ginder worked as an intern with Corner Lot Development Group gaining valuable experience in real estate development, land acquisition, government relations, and vertical construction. The first-time CSC Academic All-District® honoree is part of the College's Jenny Investment Club and serves breakfast once a week to the local homeless community through a program with Trinity United Church of Christ in Wooster.
Green was one of Wooster's top comeback athletes of the year, scoring 16 goals and assisting on 11 others over 18 games. Green scooped 23 groundballs and caused six turnovers. The senior-to-be scored three times and passed out an assist against Adrian and had eight points in the opening week of the season.
The business economics major is interning for CoreWeave's security department at its Manhattan office this summer. He is involved with the Jenny Investment Club on campus and is part of the community service breakfast program at Trinity United Church of Christ. Green studied abroad at the London School of Economics last summer and is a STEM Zone intern on campus.
Kellogg was one of three USILA All-Americans for the program this spring. He rewrote Wooster's record book, graduating as the program's all-time leader with 301 points and 140 assists. Kellogg tallied up 98 points this spring and passed out 59 assists, both new single-season program records. He broke the single-game records with 13 points and 10 assists in the season-opening win over Hiram. The All-America honor marked the second of Kellogg's career and he graduated as a three-time All-NCAC performer.
The biology alumnus collects CSC Academic All-District® honors for the second time. He will be working as a medical assistant at Arvada Pediatrics prior to starting medical school. Kellogg gained further shadowing experience with Panorama Orthopedics prior to his senior year. Kellogg designed and conducted research examining behavioral effects of fluoxetine exposure in fish. At Wooster, Kellogg helped coordinate the team's partnership with the Wayne County Humane Society where the team staffed a parking lot during the Wayne County Fair with money raised from parking going to the society. He is Wooster's nominee for the NCAC Don Hunsinger Award, the NCAC's Male Sport Student-Athlete of the Year, and earned the College's Manges Athletics Prize as the top male sport student-athlete in the graduating class.
Each school with the CSC membership may submit up to six nominations for men's at-large sports Academic All-District®. At-large contest sports Wooster sponsors on the men's side are golf and lacrosse. Each nominee must be at least a sophomore in academic standing, have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA, and meet their sport's participation requirement to be nominated.
