Box Score WILMINGTON – Six goals were scored in the second half, but The College of Wooster men's soccer team was on the wrong end of a 4-3 outcome Saturday night at Wilmington College.
 
Sophomore Andrew Vescio broke open the scoring and found the back of the net thanks to an assist from classmate Aris Christodoulou in the 24th minute off a corner kick. It was his first collegiate goal, connecting on the header near the left post.
 
Wilmington found the equalizer in the 54th minute and followed that up with two additional goals to take a 3-1 lead. Aidan Barnishin and William Jannsson made the first two goals, while Akol Malow gave Wilmington the two-goal lead near the 74th minute.
 
Yet, Wooster would not stay down with two consecutive goals of their own to tie the match at three. Thanks to an assist from Markus Franch, Christodoulou got in the scoring column to add to his earlier assist, while Hillhouse assisted on Connor Shea's goal to make it 3-3.
 
However, Wilmington (3-1-1) got the last laugh as a goal from Ben Bartschy wound up being the game winning goal in the final minutes.
 
Eddie Glucksman made four saves in the loss. The Scots outshot the Quakers 24-14.
 
Christodoulou has three goals on the season now to lead the team, while Shea sits second at two. Wooster moves to 3-2 on the year.
 
Next, the Scots return to Carl Dale Field for a matchup against Baldwin Wallace University.
