The College of Wooster football team (1-4, 1-3 North Coast Athletic Conference) is back home for the first time in nearly a month for this Saturday's 3 p.m. game against Oberlin College (0-5, 0-4 NCAC). Both teams were idle last week. Wooster is coming off a 14-0 loss at Ohio Wesleyan University (2-3, 1-3 NCAC). Oberlin lost 68-7 at DePauw University (4-1, 3-1 NCAC) in its last game on October 3.
On The Air: Wooster will carry a stream of Saturday's game. It can be viewed at
https://northcoastnetwork.com/wooster. Please note MCTV was sold to Armstrong and Armstrong discontinued MCTV's local studio production. As such, MCTV no longer produces the stream of Wooster's home football games.Â

All-Time Series: Wooster leads the all-time series 76-23-2 and has won nine straight. Wooster has beaten Oberlin more than any other opponent in program history, and the Fighting Scots have played the Yeomen more times than any other team. Kenyon College is No. 2 on Wooster's wins list at 59, while Denison University is second for most all-time meetings in program history at 94. The Wooster-Oberlin series dates back to 1903. The Yeomen won that game 30-0. Wooster is 33-4 in the series since the NCAC was founded.
Last Meeting: Wooster's defense made a goal-line stand for the second straight week, and this one preserved a 38-0 shutout of Oberlin on September 27, 2025. Oberlin had first-and-goal from Wooster's 6-yard line in the final minutes. Alumnus
Wyatt Harris tackled Oberlin's
Miguel Garcia at the 4-yard line, then spilled running back
Jayden Eaton for a 2-yard loss on a
Drew Nye check-down completion on second down. Then-first-year defensive back
Brady Keller (Alliance, Ohio/Marlington) broke up a third-down touchdown pass intended for
Connor Steele in the end zone, then Nye's fourth-down pass was off the mark.
Offense Notes: Wooster is still in search of its first game with over 300 yards of offense this fall. Wooster last went over 300 yards of offense in its 2025 meeting with Kenyon College on November 1. In that game, Wooster logged 484 yards of total offense, 445 through the air, and 39 on the ground. The 2025 game against Denison University on October 11 is the last time Wooster rushed for over 100 yards. Â Â
Defense Notes: Wooster held Ohio Wesleyan to under 300 yards of offense, marking the lowest output by a Scots' opponent since the program's 14-12 win over Wittenberg University on October 4, 2025. Wooster allowed just 173 yards of offense the last time it played Oberlin, and the Yeomen finished with negative six net yards rushing. Wooster's 10 interceptions are the fifth-most in Div. III. Juniors
Ja'Ontay O'Bryant (Ontario, Ohio/Mansfield Senior) and
Anthony Sines (Orrville, Ohio/Wooster) rank sixth nationally in interceptions per game.
Special Teams Notes: Junior
Cam Crago (Mansfield, Ohio/Lexington) was recently passed up for the most blocked kicks in Div. III this fall by Trinity University's (Texas)
Judson Crockett. Crockett has five blocked kicks this fall, while Crago is tied for second nationally at four with Capital University's
Declan McAdams and Marietta College's
Lukas Ratliff.
Up Next: Wooster travels to defending NCAC champion and currently 16th-ranked John Carroll University (4-1, 3-1 NCAC) for a 1:05 p.m. game on Saturday, October 24.
